Eats Lately [2]

We wrote our first ‘Eats Lately’ page not too long ago, and it went down quite well. So we’ve decided to do it again, sharing the food we’re grabbing on the go… Here’s a run-down of what we’ve been eating lately:

The pineapple custard buns, egg custard tarts and glazed barbecue pork buns from Breadpoint. We’ve written about this Chinese bakery before (a long, long time ago). We still pop by now and again when we’re after something cheap and delicious for lunch.

Since Rafi’s Spicebox arrived at Fenwick Food Hall, we’ve visited a fair few times. The curries are made up to your exact spice requirements, and we love their onion bhaji flour mix. So easy, and it makes you feel like a pro in the kitchen.

You know how we’re loving restaurant-standard food at home? Well, we decided to order takeaway from Thai restaurant The Old Siam. You have to collect it from their restaurant, but we live near, so it wasn’t a problem. Their pad thai and yellow thai curry are spot on.

Bunker Coffee. We popped here for lunch one Saturday and although we enjoyed the colourful salad box and parma ham & rocket flat wraps, we were a little disappointed as they didn’t seem to have as much food on offer as their social media pages suggest. Maybe we just visited on an ‘off’ day. We loved the location and relaxed vibe though.

The desserts at Dil & The Bear. We were enticed straight away by their cake counter, and enjoyed a billionaire’s shortcake and a huge hunk of brownie.

Where have you been eating lately? Any recommendations for us?

  1. What a great idea for a post, I love it. I’ve still not checked out Fenwick’s new food hall and I really need to!
