The August Eat Out To Help Out scheme has proved a winning combination for many restaurants, and some of them are not quite ready to give up on the discount deal yet!
One of my favourite days out so far this summer has been fruit picking at Brocksbushes Farm Shop & Tearoom! Although strawberry picking seems to be the most popular type of fruit picking at Brocksbushes, they also have raspberries, gooseberries, redcurrants and blackcurrants!
The best place to enjoy fish and chips is at the beach! Bao Bar is tiny - a blink-and-you'll-miss-it kind of place. It's found on Chillingham Road in Heaton (just outside of Newcastle) and is a small, walk-in bar offering steamed buns, small plates and pared drinks.
The setting of Love Lily Tearoom is so enviable. The floor-to-ceiling windows look out over Roker Beach in Sunderland and there's something just so delightful in settling down here for breakfast, brunch or lunch after a walk full of sea air.
