[This is not an AD – I recently discovered the event online and wanted to promote it so decided to put this guide together.]
From Monday 11th November to Friday 15th November it’s the first ever Teesside Restaurant Week with lots of great restaurants taking part.
It follows the same setup as other popular Restaurant Weeks in the North East region, and has been set up by Alex Cook who runs The Mill and Il Mulino in Stokesley.
During Restaurant Week, participating restaurants offer a special Restaurant Week Menu where diners can enjoy a three course meal for £15. It’s already proving popular before the week has begun, with lots of places busy with bookings.
For some restaurants, the Restaurant Week offer is only valid at certain times during the week, whereas others are running it with no time limitations, and a lot of the restaurants require a reservation – so be sure to check each restaurant’s offer!
There are some cracking restaurants taking part, so we thought we’d highlight just a few:
1. Rockliffe Hall – The Clubhouse
With a two courses for £10 option as well as three courses for £15, dine on delightful British dishes at Rockliffe Hall. The cornflake tart is calling our name!
2. Acklam Hall
A Grade I listed venue in Middlesbrough which would be the perfect place to dine for a special occasion. Feast on pan-fried pheasant, glazed pork cheek and salt & pepper squid.
This well-loved restaurant in Yarm is pulling out the stops for Restaurant Week with a delicious menu – just look at the desserts!
4. Tomahawk Steakhouse
The first restaurant to sign up to Teesside Restaurant Week, the offering here is valid 12pm-9pm Monday to Thursday, and 12pm-6pm on a Friday – giving you lots of opportunities to enjoy some great grub!
5. The Herd & Herb
Teesside’s newest member to the food scene is joining Teesside Restaurant Week – giving you the chance to check it out. The restaurant is part of the refurbished Hardwick Arms hotel in Sedgefield.
6. Cleveland Tontine
The Cleveland Tontine is something of an institution in beautiful North Yorkshire and with its fantastic Restaurant Week menu, prepare for a dinner to remember.
7. The Mill
One of Alex Cook’s restaurants (who has set up Teesside Restaurant Week). The menu is vast with lots of great-sounding options from steak or pie to a parmo or fish and chips.
8. Chapters Deli
Serving up TWO Restaurant Week offers – two courses for £11.50 and three courses for £15 – this inviting bar/restaurant ticks all the boxes.
